Gentle Yoga is designed for those who prefer a class less vigorous than Yoga 1. It includes gentle stretches and breathing as well as simple movements designed to systematically increase the range of motion of every major joint and increase energy. This class is ideal for students with chronic symptoms such as muscle/joint pain, stiffness, weakness, or fatigue.
Pilates is demanding, but it's not the kind of workout that will make you hot and sweaty. It’s all about concentration and breathing. Restorative Yoga is very slow, nurturing and healing. It is great for distressing and deep relaxation. If you are extremely active or recovering an injury or suffering from a debilitating illness, you are sure to find relief with a restorative practice. The instructor may use props, such as straps, blocks or bolsters to help maximize your results.
Vinyasa Yoga is a flowing, dynamic sequence of poses. This type of practice involves synchronizing the breath with a continuous flow of postures.
Pilates is all about concentration and breathing. Your core is the main focus of this workout. You’ll use your upper legs to help engage your core. This workout focuses on stabilizing and strengthening your back as you strengthen your abs. You’ll use your own body weight instead of weights. You’ll engage your muscles in a strong but gentle way. you’ll get stronger, more sculpted muscles and gain flexibility. You may also have better posture and a better sense of well-being. It also has a strong mind/body connection, so you may like it if you enjoy yoga but need a more intense core workout. If you have chronic low back pain, it will help strengthen your weak core muscles that may be adding to your pain.
Kids' Yoga is an hour and fifteen minutes of FUN, to help children reach their full potential and develop a passion for yoga. Yoga is great for everyone but it especially helps children focus, center and learn to self pacify from within. At the end of each session, the kids get to share their favorite poses and why. Parents can drop off or stay and participate. Parents are free! Siblings are half off.
Private Yoga classes are perfect for someone who might be intimidated by a class or who is just starting and would like more one on one instruction.
